Orenburg, Russia - 21st December 2025: A vibrant and heartwarming Freshers Party was recently held at Orenburg State Medical University to welcome the first-year students into their new academic journey. This event has proved to be the right mix of celebration and inspiration for the students as they feel at home right from the start.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and respected dignitaries. Moreover, the presence of senior leadership from Orenburg State Medical University added great value to the occasion. Rector Prof. Igor Vasilevich and Dean Dr. Anton Olegovich Mironchev personally interacted with students. They offered encouragement and reinforced the strong bond between the university administration and the student community.
The event was further elevated by the esteemed presence of representatives from the Embassy of India, Moscow. H.E. Mr. Vinay Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, and Ms. Babita, Attaché at the Embassy of India, Moscow, addressed the students and shared words of reassurance and pride. Their presence reflected the continued support and care extended to Indian students studying in Russia.
Adding to the inspiration was Prof. Dr. S.K. Washim, Founder and Chairman of Rus Education. He motivated students with practical guidance, reminding them to stay focused, disciplined, and confident as they begin their medical education abroad.
The Freshers Party, which was led by Dr. Ashok Patel, the Indian Student Representative, included lively cultural performances by students. On a global stage, the performances brilliantly displayed talent and diversity. The dignitaries urged students to strike a balance between academic excellence and cultural harmony and expressed gratitude for the organisers' commitment.
The evening concluded on a joyful and uplifting note. Also, it left the new batch of students feeling motivated and proud to be part of the Orenburg State Medical University family.
