Orenburg State Medical University

The official founders of the Institute are Lazarenko F.M., histologist, professor; Olifson L.E., chemist, associate professor; Silantyev A.K, associate professor, surgeon; the first director of the Institute was Fetisov N.V., surgeon-dentist. The University is located in the city of Orenburg, nearly 1,456 kilometers away from the city of Moscow, the capital of Russia, and nearly 2,166 kilometers away from the city of Saint Petersburg.

The first batch of MBBS graduates from Orenburg State Medical University was released in May 1946. Orenburg State Medical University provides high-quality medical education in English Medium with updated infrastructure and modern equipments. To make sure that students have adequate hands-on experience in the field of medicine by the time of their graduation, OrSMU is affiliated with 18+ different hospitals in Russia with more than 8000 beds available to provide clinical training to all MBBS students. During hands-on clinical training, students are involved in patient care and treatment of all kinds of illnesses and diseases. Every year, more than 500 students qualify OrSMU’s rigorous MBBS Program and step out as qualified doctors.

The students who complete their MBBS from Orenburg State Medical University can come back and work in India after passing the Licensure Examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) or they can pursue their career abroad.
