Newly Enrolled Indian Students of OrSMU Joins Sobraniye 2022

As another batch of students from India get ready to commence on their journey to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor with Orenburg State Medical University, they joined the grand pre-departure ceremony, Sobraniye 2022 o n 27th September 2022 at Kamani Auditorium.

The ceremony featured the chief presence of Lt Gen Daljit Singh, VSM, Director General Medical Services (Indian Army) & Sr Col Comdt., along with several notable personalities including Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi; Shri Nirmal Kumar Bhagat, Director, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Dr Vinitaa Jha Executive Vice President, Medical Education & Research, Dr. Vanita Mittal, General Manager, Academics from a reputed medical hospital of India; Nikita Zhvachkin, Head of the Corporate and Financial Institutions Department, Sberbank India, Ms Elena Barman, Head of Education, Air Marshal Dr Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Vice Chairman and Mr Syed I. Rigan, Managing Director from Rus Education.

Several university students were also awarded various scholarships during the event for their hard earned academic merits. The list of scholarships included 'Druzhba Scholarship' in honour of Alexander Kadakin, ex-Ambassador of Russia in India, 'Badhte Kadam Scholarship' in honour of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India & Vir Jawaan Scholarship.

All the guests addressed the students and parents with their words of wisdom. Lt Gen Daljit Singh reminded the importance of discipline to the students and appreciated their parents for supporting them all through the way. Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi, also assured the students and parents of the unbridled support from the Russian House in New Delhi all through their stay.

After the completion of the ceremony, the students and parents departed to Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi, where they bid farewell to each other with several promises as the students got on board to join Orenburg State Medical University.
